FAQ's

What is your return policy?  If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, please leave your item unopened / unused and contact me so we can work on a timely resolution. This may include a modification to the item, return with a partial or full refund, a replacement etc. We will work together to make sure your expectations are met!     Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds for sizing errors due to non-measuring. I do offer a 20-piece set, which includes 2 of each size. I also, offer a sizing kit, where you can hold nail blanks to your nails and find your size without measuring.

What is your cancellation policy?   I will gladly accept any cancellations within a 24-hour window of purchase.

What is your current processing time?  All nails are handmade to order and I currently have a 2-day processing time for all handmade sets, although it may be sooner. Custom designs submitted by you may take longer. I will give you a time estimate during our “Creator Discussion”. Around 3-5 days would be a rough estimate, depending on supplies needed and intricacy of the design requested.  (I have Ready To Wear Sets available which do not have a processing time. They are made in advance, in both stiletto and coffin shapes, and come in a bold solid color. They are made in the same fashion as my other sets, with a hard gel underlay and top coat.)    If you need it faster, I offer an "Expedited Processing" option which will expedite your order to 1 day of processing time, instead of 2-5 days.  If you need it by certain date, please send me a message to let me know!        *Please note that processing time does not include shipping time. Please see my shipping policy.

What is your shipping policy?  US First-Class Mail -   3 to 5 business days  US Priority Mail -   2 to 3 business days  International First-Class Mail -   2 to 3 weeks  International Express Mail with UPS -   3 to 4 days  International Customs and import taxes:  Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.  We are not responsible for delays due to customs.

What shapes do you offer?  I currently offer five shapes: Almond, Ballerina, Coffin, Square, Stiletto and Pedicure.

What lengths do you offer?  I currently offer short, long and extra long lengths. If you look under the “Nail Sizing Chart” page you’ll see a picture of all 5 shapes in the 3 lengths I offer.

Do you take special orders at this time?  Yes, I am currently working on creating a specific form for that process but for now you can use the “Chat” or message me with a jumping off point for your ideal set.  **This would be a good format to start an inquiry:   Shape:  Length:  Base nail color:  How many solid nails? If any?  How many accent nails?  Design on the accent nails? (ex. Pink rhinestones, red foil, blue slanted tips etc.)  (With this basic info I can get a feel for your design and idea of the time and cost associated)

What is the difference between your nail sets and drug store brands?  Drug store brands are manufactured in large quantity by machines overseas. Every set of nails, madebyTish, is handmade in the great state of Texas with my own two hands and quality supplies. (Also, who doesn’t want to support a small business and not some faceless corporation.)    Drug store brands are composed of nail blanks with thin sprays of paint, topped by a thin coat of clear spray paint. That’s why they bend. It’s because they don’t have the structural integrity of a salon quality nail. I start each nail off with a nail blank as well, then I follow it up with a gel base coat, a layer of hard gel, several layers of gel polish and then 2 layers of a gel top coat to seal in the design. This provides a strength that you will never get from a drug store brand and you come to rely on from your nail tech!

How do I apply the press on nails?  There are a few ways to apply your nails:  You could use nail glue, which gives the most permanent hold.  You could use adhesive tabs, which holds for a few days and makes them reusable.  You could use my favorite method, which is both. By placing the nail glue between an adhesive tab and the fake nail you get a better hold than just using the tab but not as hard to get off. (If you have an electric drill you can file off the goo when you remove them to use for a second time!)  Also I do have an application video, which you can find on the Application page, located on the menu bar.

How do I find my size?  On the menu bar at the top of the page you’ll see, “Nail Sizing Chart” and if you click that it will lead you to measuring instructions. You can also purchase a Sizing Kit and try on the different sizes, so to speak. Or, I do offer a "Full Set" or 20-piece option for every style.  Also, I do have a sizing guide video, that you can watch, located on the Nail Sizing Chart page.

Do you offer wholesale?  Sorry, not at this current time. I am however, trying to figure out a way to make that happen for anyone that’s interested.

How long will my nails last?  The actual nails themselves will last for 3 or more weeks of continuous wear and/or multiple applications as long as they are taken care of.

What comes with a set of nails?  Each set comes with the selected number of nails, a nail buffer, nail file, cuticle stick, alcohol wipe, adhesive tabs and nail glue,.

Do you offer a pedicure version of press on nails?  Yes, I do. Every set of nails has a pedicure option on the drop-down menu. There may also be singular sets of pedi press on nails, listed as well.

Why do the pedi press on nails have a tab on the edge?  The tab is to make it easier for you to apply the nails on your tiny toes. Think of it as a handle!

There is no picture of the pedicure on the style that I like. How do I know what I’m getting?  Each pedi set will be created with the general design in mind. You can expect a similar ratio of solid to accent nails as well as the main theme of the nails to be obvious. Of course, it will not be identical because of the space difference but you will definitely be able to tell it’s the same style, just smaller.
